Wheels are one of the most basic parts of a car so it's easy to forget they need care and maintenance as well. The wheel consists of the rubber tire and the metal, or plastic, rim. Rims tend to be very sturdy and can last years as long as they aren’t damaged. Tires, however, have to be replaced every few years or whenever the threads wear down on them. Driving with worn out threads can easily lead to skidding and accidents.
